Digger Cake

Would you ever guess what kind of cake Alex requested for his birthday cake? Of course a DIGGER! So here is the cake I made.

Alex's 3rd Birthday Party

We had a great time for Alex's birthday party. We had it at Bouncin off the walls. It is a place full of blow up slides and obstacle courses. All the kids had a great time, but I think the adults had just as much fun. On his birthday I made a digger cake that Alex thought was pretty cool. He got a lot of cool presents and we still have Christmas coming up. I am not sure where we are going to put everything. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a fun party!

More Disneyland

Bethany was like a kid in a candy shop, but it was a shop full of stuffed animals. She walked around grabbing every animal she could and gave them each a love. Uncle Todd followed her around picking them up and putting them away.

Two Little Toads!

Newport Beach

Newport Beach was beautiful. It was a little chilly, but that didn't stop Bethany. She would have dived right in if we had let her. She squealed with delight as the water rushed up over her toes. Alex liked it too, but was surprising more timid. He was pretty happy digging in the sand though. However, both of their favorite parts were chasing the seagulls. I wish I had caught a video of that.

Disneyland

Alex had a bad habit of licking everything at Disneyland. That included the railings and chains and everything that people put their hands all over. We told him he couldn't lick those things, but he could lick a lollipop. The next day we let him choose any lollipop and he is no dumb kid. He went for the biggest lollipop in the store!

Bethany loved this ride. She was screaming while we waited for it to start and people thought I was torturing her by making her go on the ride, but all she wanted was for the ride to start and as soon as it did, her screams of frustration turned to squeals of joy!
We did a lot of this!

Meeting Mickey Mouse

We had such a great time in Disneyland. Here are just a few pictures. The kids both loved the rides and we walked on most of them without a wait. November is a great time to go, especially during the middle of the week.

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell

Good Witch (Lucy), Dragonfly (Penny), Spider Witch (Marlee), Spider (Beau), Peter Pan (Alex), Tinkerbell (Bethany)

Alex and Bethany have had a lot of fun this year dressing up for Halloween. We have been to Red Butte Gardens twice in their costumes and to a couple different parties. Don't they make a great Peter Pan and Tinkerbell?

Family

This was our attempt at getting a family picture. I must say it is much more difficult with two kids.

Thanksgiving Point

We went down to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens for their $2 tuesdays in August. Alex had a lot of fun rolling down the grassy hills, but not so much fun posing for pictures. It was a beautiful day.

Promentory Point

We had a great time at promentory point a few weeks ago. It was their special yearly day where they have more going on than just the train demo. They had live music, a kids craft, the handcart train, and they even let us up into the train which they don't usually do. It was a long drive into the middle of nowhere, but we made a fun day out of it and stopped in Brigham City at Maddox for lunch (YUM!)

Bethany's 1st Birthday

Bethany loved the balloons that Grama Lisa brought over

Bethany really enjoyed opening her presents, I think?
She wasn't quite so sure about the cake

Peek a Boo

Alex loves to make Bethany Laugh!

Motorboat Bethany

I have been trying to catch Bethany doing her motorboat forever and this is the best I got. She wakes up in the morning doing her motorboat at a very high resolution!

Our Little Scooter

Bethany doesn't crawl, she scoots. She is getting really good at it too. Such a lady! Why get your knees dirty when you can scoot?

Tracy Aviary

Bethany is just as cute upside down as she is right side up

We went to Tracy Aviary on July 24th. It was fun, but hot!

Capital Reef

Hike to Hickman Bridge
While we were setting up camp, Alex found a piece of old coal and decided it made a great crayon. However, it also made great finger paints on his face!

Alex thought the giant diggers and dump trucks were pretty cool

The digger collection in the visitors center was Alex's favorite spot. He could have stared for hours!
