Three anxious kids waiting to go out and find the Easter eggs.

Alex was the first to discover that Grandma Hoggan had mistakenly colored a whole dozen of raw eggs. He had quite the shocked look on his face when one started leaking all over the driveway.

Enjoying the rewards of the hunt!
Alex had a lot of fun at the Easter Egg hunt on saturday at Evergreen Park. The eggs were divided into age groups and his age group was under the pavillion. All of the eggs were just sitting on the tables and benches so it lasted a whole 10 seconds before they were all scooped up. One little girl next to Alex didn't manage to get any so Chris asked Alex to give her one of his 4 eggs. He happily agreed and reached into his bucket and handed her one. It was very nice of him. I am impressed at how willing he is to share (most of the time).
He also got to meet the "Easter Lion". The hunt was sponsored by the Lions Club so they had their mascot there with bunny ears on.

Trip to Phoenix

We were able to go to Camel back Inn where we spent our honey moon for a night on our trip to Phoenix. Granny Lisa watched the kids, so it was a very relaxing night out!

Alex is getting his swimming legs back pretty quickly. He loves the water. In Phoenix the first day that we put shorts on him he stood up and tried to pull the pant legs down. He couldn't figure out why his pants were so short! We got a pretty good laugh out of that one.

We went on a hike in Phoenix that overlooked the entire city. It was a lot of fun and really nice to get outside and play.

Bethany loves to jump. She will jump for over an hour while I run on the treadmill and shower. It is a great piece of entertainment.

Alex and Grandpa Gary

Alex loves his Grandpa. Everytime he calls he hears him on the phone and wants to say hello.

Puzzles

Alex loves to do his Digger puzzle. It is always out on the table. He is to the point that I can hand him a piece and 75% of the time puts it in the right spot. His favorite part of the puzzle is of a blue digger. He likes to put that part together first. One time we put it together I thought we had all of the blue digger finished, but he kept saying "more blue digger" and then found a piece with just a tiny corner of the blue digger on it. He is soooo smart. I think Chris and I have every piece of that puzzle memorized because we have helped him so many times with it.

Bethany discovers cereal and chocolate

We have started giving Bethany solid foods. She loves oatmeal and Chris of course has already introduced her to chocolate. I think she had more on her face then in her mouth.

Bethany and Tiger Lily

Lily and Bethany are going to be the best of friends. Granny Lisa is already having fun buying them matching outfits.

Swimming, our new favorite thing to do!

Thanks to our neighbor we found out about Murray Parks indoor kids pool. Alex loves going there. The water is really warm, there is a playground in the pool, a big water slide and a lazy river to float around. It is the greatest family activity. After we get home Alex takes the best nap because he is so worn out. Even Bethany loves to make a splash. She hangs out in the water for over an hour without complaining.

My favorite uncle

Alex loves to play and wrestle with his Uncle Matt. His favorite saying is "Come on" as he tries to get anyone to play with him.

Why sleep in beds

We find Alex in all sorts of places asleep. He loves making nests on the floor.
